At The 5 To Survive, I take a customized approach to safety.

Steve served 3 years with the US Army 

as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division.

After leaving the Army, Steve spent 22 years 

with the Warwick, Rhode Island Police Department. 

He spent most of his career as a Detective, 

investigating all aspects of criminal activity.

He worked as a Security Manager at the Warwick Musical Theater 

for 10 years overseeing the safety and security 

of the employees, audience, and entertainers.

He worked personal executive protection for four years 

for several European families in the US, Canada and Mexico.

In 2009 Steve was employed by DynCorp International, 

as a Police Mentor/Advisor in the 

Afghanistan Police Program (APP), funded by the Department of State.

After returning from Afghanistan in 2010, 

he was hired by the East Greenwich Police Department. 

There he served as a School Resource Officer 

and was the department armorer and range officer. 

He retired in 2018 and moved to Arizona.

While in Arizona, he created and ran a personal safety company 

called Mindset Survival,  where he offered course’s in 

firearms, less-lethal options, active shooter events, 

situational awareness, de-escalation and communication skills.
